Employee Spotlight

With a long history working in the transportation industry, Neil MacIsaac, Director of Operations is an integral part of the Adcco & Spinning Wheels Express team. Keep reading to find out all about how he started his career, his best advice and more!

Unmatched Experience

Neil MacIsaac’s career began after receiving a degree in Physical Distribution and Transportation Management from Northeastern University. Following college, he started his first job as a dock supervisor at Roadway Express, where he went on to work for 13 years.

Before coming to Adcco, he also worked for Malden Mills in international transportation and for a company that was working on creating an online software for the trucking industry.

During his time at Malden Mills, he found out about Spinning Wheels Express through another employee. It was then that his respect for Tony and Jason Colacchio, Adcco’s President and Executive Vice President at the time, grew. He knew that with their combined experience and intelligence, the company would be a great one to work for.

Working at Adcco

In August of 2002, he began his career at Adcco and Spinning Wheels Express, and he has called it home ever since. Since joining the team, MacIsaac has offered unparalleled industry knowledge. One of the best skills that he brings to the table is his expertise on all modes of transportation, including LTL, truckload, ground expedite, intermodal, international ocean/air and domestic air.

As the Director of Operations, he loves that each day of work brings its own unique challenges and that no two days are ever the same. However, his proudest moment as an employee came during the 2008/2009 recession.

“We were really hurting financially with the fleet. Many companies in the industry were closing and employees were asked to take pay cuts. Jason never asked anyone in the company to take a pay cut but he took one himself. Thanks to his confidence and sacrifice we survived and thrived as a company since then,” said MacIsaac.

After many years in his career, his best advice for others is to learn as much as you can about your industry, saying “the more you know, the more valuable you become.”

In His Free Time

When he’s not working, you can find him spending time with his wife Sheila and his two daughters. He loves going to the beach, listening to live bands, and golfing. What’s something that you might not have known about him before? He played in a band in high school and recently started taking guitar lessons!
