Remembering Anthony D. Colacchio – Adcco Founder, Former President, and Executive Vice President
Anthony (Tony) Colacchio

It is with a heavy heart that we announce Anthony (Tony) Colacchio, founder of Adcco Incorporated, passed away on November 7, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer.
In 1978, after working for 10 years in senior-level operational and financial positions in the transportation industry, Tony founded Adcco Incorporated, where he was the only employee. He created Adcco initially as a consulting firm, committed to negotiating better deals for his customers and helping them to increase profitability. Though the early years were tough, Tony worked extremely hard to help his clients efficiently conduct freight bill auditing, carrier and fleet evaluations, and management reports.
In 1989, he decided to expand Adcco’s services to include a dedicated fleet service which became Spinning Wheels Express Fleet Division. Tony’s hard work and dedication led to a profitable company that he handed over to his son, Jason, in 2000 who has grown the business five-fold since 2000. His youngest son, Alexander, also joined the company in 2013 and works in accounting.
Throughout his many years with Adcco, Tony’s goal remained the same- to minimize transportation costs while providing the highest level of service. Today, this goal continues to guide Adcco’s mission and values.
“Without Tony, none of us would have the job we all enjoy today,” said Neil MacIsaac, Director of Operations at Adcco.
When he was not at work, Tony dedicated his time to the sport of Paralympic curling and served as an assistant coach for the USA Curling Paralympic Team. For over a decade, he helped to recruit, instruct and advocate for wheelchair curlers at the Cape Cod Curling Club. Because of his incredible dedication to the sport, Tony will be remembered as one of the greatest ambassadors to Paralympic curling.
“There are very few people on this earth that are liked or loved by everyone who knows them but Tony was one of those people,” said Guy Chretien, Director of Finance for Adcco.
Although Tony is no longer with us, his spirit will continue to live on through the success of Adcco and within the Adcco family.

Visitation hours will be held on November 29 from 4-7 p.m. at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home in Mashpee.
A funeral procession will follow at 11 a.m. November 30 at St. Elizabeth Seton’s in Falmouth, followed by the interment at Cape Cod National Cemetery at Otis Air Force Base.
